Can I please ask about bed and breakfast. Can you recommend a booklet as we plan to spend as much time with the real people and not corporate. Small towns and villages would be great.

one of the best ways to find accommodations in the u.s. would be to go to bedandbreakfast.com they will have a lot of options. Also then you can check out their recommendations on tripadvisor.com to find exactly what it is you are looking for.
