Celtic Circle

Celtic Circle

To be found in the Pitteuchar precinct of Glenrothes, this circle of standing stones attracts the eye. The sculptor is David Harding.

not so sure

of this one its a bit strange- maybe a bit like our new Scottish Parliament, a wee bit concretish for my liking, but as they say it takes all sorts. At least all the stones look different, much in the way of a real old stone circle that you'd find dotted around throughout Scotland. It is extremely good to see how much there is in the way of art and sculpture throughout Glenrothes, I must say I wouldnt have thought of visiting there to look at it - but now I'm tempted to check the many different varieties out next time I'm over in Fife. I would love to know about Pitteuchar - sounds amazing name, wonder what it derives from? Particularly as Glenrothes is a new town, but I suppose it took the old names for places around there.
