Mary Ann Turbeville Byrd

by Mary Ann Turbeville Byrd
(Bay Minette, Alabama U.S.A.)

My dear Aunt May sent it to me. Isn't she brilliant to create something as interesting and educational as this site?

It's a wonderful site to get to know my family and their way of life.

One day I hope to visit Scotland and see all the wonderful places and people.

Niece to see you!
by: uncle John

Mary Ann,

Great you could join in the fun! May has worked hard on the site and has enjoyed doing it. We have found out many things about Fife that we didn't know!

The problem is that the site keeps on growing and due to demand has to have many basic 'Scottish' things added to it, like Hogmanay, Burns Supper and even Valentines Day! Not to mention lots of photos sent in by folk and poems and articles with a Scottish flavour and speaking of flavour there is the food section which has proved incredibly popular! Probably a Whisky section next!

So you see we don't get bored in Scotland. One day we will surprise you all and visit Alabama!

When are you coming?
by: May

Dear Mary Ann

Thank you for 'signing' my visitor's book, and I'm so glad you enjoy the site. I look forward to meeting you one day, either here in Scotland, or you never know, we may even make Alabama!

Love May (& Uncle John) xx
