Strath Tavern

Strav Tavern in the village of Strathmiglo (just a few miles from Falkland and Auchtermuchty) is one of my favourite pubs, run by the husband and wife team, Andy and Heather. The manu is good old Scottish Pub Food with some specials every day.

I would recommend Heather's delicious Fish and Chips. Don't know what she does - but it is yummy, the batter is always lovely and crisp. But my wife just loves their fabulous clootie dumbling served with piping hot custard. Of course these aren't great if you're watching your weight - but a wee treat won't hurt, will it? But there are also healthier things on the menu too, including delicious salads.

By the way, they don't serve food on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, although the pub itself is open.
