Sunset over Elie

by Susan
(West Coast Scotland)

Sunset over Elie

Sunset over Elie

Can you believe this was February? I love the West Coast but have to admit to seeing some beautiful and marvellous East Coast sites too, and it's certainly drier - especially in the Kingdom!

My husband and I had a holiday in the Kingdom a few years back in February. We just wanted a wee break and didn't want to go too far, but we had a fantastic time in lovely self-catering cottage. We went on walks and enjoyed the lovely Fife coast.

Of course in Scotland it gets dark early in the winter months, but this sunset was just so beautiful overlooking the lovely East Neuk village of Elie. I know in the summer months this wee place can be a hub of activity, as this is also home to a fabulous watersport centre.

If you're visiting Fife, summer or winter, do stop in at the East Neuk village of Elie.

I love Elie

This is a beautiful photo of a sunset in Elie. I love the amber colour and I agree you would never guess it was taken in Febuary.

Wow!

Susan, what a glorious photograph. The sky is just wonderful and the reflection of the water is just so peaceful.

Maybe this is one of the reasons why there is such a large Artist community in the Kingdom. This picture is quite simply - beautiful.

Thanks for sending it in.
