Sweet Lady From The Lowland Hill

by Frank Maguire
(England)

Sweet lady from the lowland hill
Where the western wind does blow
My thoughts meander to you still
When you set my heart aglow

How precious was our time we spent
As we shared one beating heart
With innocence and pure intent
Knowing one day we would part

Such longing still invades my mind
My soul and spirit too
I try my best to leave behind
This love so strong and true

But still I cannot meet this vow
For you live within me still
I loved you then, I love you now
And I know I always will
