the words of a poem

My mother who is dead now was born in 1924 she born in Leven, she used to say a poem at family get togethers. It was called JENNIE GIE THE BAIRN A PEECE, it was about a mother who refused to give her son a sandwich, she told him to go and play but he was run over by a cart.

I would like to have the words of the poem to pass on to future generations, I should have thought about it while my mum was still alive, but there you go

Can you help

Graham Sullivan

Hi Graham,
I don't know this poem myself - and I'm moving this to the 'share your poems' pages - with the hope that someone will know this poem and share it here in this section.
Kind regards
May
