Totem Pole

by Ian Sloan Photography
(Glenrothes)

Totem Pole

Totem Pole

Still going round the modern town of Glenrothes; and these amazing modern sculptures turn up everywhere. Some are in the Town Park, others are just outside the Town Shopping Centre (The Kingdom Centre) and others are located in various surprising parts of the town.

David Harding sculpted this intricate piece made from concrete, which can be found in the centre of a childrens' play area in the Pitteuchar precinct of Glenrothes.

I'm not quite sure of the connection with Fife, or the story behind it, but it certainly makes an interesting talking point and is indeed a very detailed work of art.

Didn't know about this one!
by: May

Well, I thought I knew ALL the sculptures in Glenrothes. I must have passed this one before and totally 'missed' it. How unobservant is that?

I'll need to make a point of going to check it out.
