Mince and Tatties Recipe
Ingredients: (Serves 4)
1 lb Lean Minced Beef
2 chopped onions
2 chopped carrots
4 oz diced turnip or swede
Gravy browning
4 lbs peeled potatoes
2 oz butter
3 tbsps cream
Seasoning
Method:
1. Cover mince with approx 3/4 pint cold water, and break mince up with your hand until lumpless.
2. Add onion, carrot and swede, cover, and simmer for 1 hour.
3. Thicken gravy with gravy granules, or Bisto.
4. Boil potatoes until tender.
5. Mash with the butter, then beat with the cream.
6. Season to taste.
7. Serve mince and tatties with veg of choice, garden peas are nice!
