The garden

by Bibby Dickie
(Inverness)

From tumbleweed to flowers bloomin
It certainly took lots of groomin
tae turn a garden lost and bare
tae somethin where they stop and stare.
The wee flowers bobbin heads all pink
and yellow roses.
Makes ye think
if only we'd ourselves apply
a world well-tended would reply.
It's only love and time folks need
to make such beauty out of weeds.

by: Ian fae Irvine
