The Wood Mill, Dunfermline

What a lovely, welcoming family resaurant this turned out to be. The weekend A la carte defiantely hit the spot with our group and the Friday night entertainment was smashing. We asked for Roberto to play a special request for our birthday girl and he duly obliged - what a star!

The food was outstanding and probably the higlight of the meal for me was the sweets available, home made apple crumble and custard - yummy. Also tried a bit of my other half's bread and butter pudding (also home made). Have decided to have that as my pud the next time. Our teenagers had the cheesecake for desert - cheesecake with a difference - one had the Chocolate Orange cheesecake and the other had the what I think was After Eight cheesecake. We will also have to start exercising more if we keep eating the sweets.

Well priced, great portions and welcomes families, just what is needed in this area. Staff were friendly and polite and duly produced the 'surprise' birthday cake at the right time - thank you.

A restaurant to be tried if you have not been before.
