Wood Mill Restaurant Bar area Function Room

We are Bill and Douglas Robertson, a father and son who took over the Wood Mill Restaurant on 6th of April 2010. Douglas has several years experience running the front of house with a national hotel and restaurant group and took over The Wood Mill directly from his last postition as part of the management team at an award winning independent West Lothian restaurant.

For a few years the Wood Mill had lost its way and the standard of food was not what it had been. We brought in a new head chef who had worked with Douglas in several kitchens and set out to raise the standard of food served to a new level. We are rapidly achieving our goal of returning the reputation of this restaurant to it's rightful place as the premier venue for quality affordable family food in Dunfermline.

Our kitchen has recently been refitted with the latest energy efficient Rational ovens which give us a much reduced carbon footprint. We try where possible to source our food from local suppliers and we have added Buffalo burgers which are farmed at Auchtertool in Fife to our new menu which is being introduced in January 2011.

From February 2011 Italian singer and keyboard player Roberto Enzo will be playing in the Restaurant every Friday evening. We also have a function room for up to 60 people and it is ideal for family parties, small weddings and funeral buffets and meals. When the snow clears and spring comes our recently added beer garden and outdoor eating area will be the place to be.

Thank you for sharing with us all that you are doing at the Restaurant. It sounds fabulous - and I must come for dinner sometime soon.

May I wish you both and your business every success.
