lost receipe

My mother and grand mother were both from Scotland (Bellshill) to be exact...my grandmother used to make a sorta bun cake that was brown in color and had rasins throughout it, my mother lost the recipe when my grandmother died. Nana, as we called her, always said it was dumpling and how she remembered the recipe was it had 7 "S"'s in the recipe. Of course I do realize one of these ingredients started with a C but for ease of memorization she considered it an s because i think it was cinnammon. Anyways if this at all sounds like something you may know the name of or have the recipe to please email me back at bill71575@yahoo.com thank you

Sincerely,
William Hastings
