Dance With Me Once Again ©

by Robbie Kennedy Bennett

Make me young
Let’s go dancing down memory lane
Take my hand
Dance with me once again

We may say how on earth have we got to where we are today?
You and I, we are two birds, we’ve flown our years away
Do I miss that time, time of yours and mine?

Sometimes yes and sometimes no
Sometimes it will surface sometimes it will show
Always, not sometimes my feelings are glad
When I hear the call of Nan or Grandad

Make me young
Let’s go dancing down memory lane
Take my hand
Dance with me once again

Time as fled can’t remember where I heard or who once said
You are too young to marry, too young to have to carry
Responsibility and all that stuff, I didn’t listen, I’d had enough

Make me young
Let’s go dancing down memory lane
Take my hand
Dance with me once again

Dance with me again and again.
